[Conference presentation] The 13th UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook

The 13th UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook was held in Guilin, China between 17 and 19 October. The theme of this year¡¯s forum was ¡®Beyond gateways: Dispersal policies, capacity management, and rural tourism¡¯. Globally hot topics such as destination management using big data and sustainable tourism development were covered in many sessions.

Prof. Joseph Cheer from Center for Tourism Research, Wakayama University presented a keynote titled as ¡®Tourism in a time of rapid growth: Overtourism policy, planning and capacity management¡¯.
