[Conference presentation] 30th Annual SMAANZ Conference

The 30th Annual SMAANZ Conference, organized by the Sport Management Association of Australia & New Zealand(SMAANZ), was held at Deakin University’s Geelong Waterfront Campus in Australia from 4-6 December. From Wakayama University, CTR Researcher, Dr. Ryutaro Yamakita presented his research.

Dr. Yamakita gave an oral presentation on methodological research contributing to the development of “thematic analysis,” which is widely used in the social sciences, including tourism studies. The presentation was based on a review of “critical realism” as a meta-theory and “a case study on the management of local events in Japan”.
